Business Modeler

services

Contextualization

Apply context and add metadata to your organization's operational data to improve interpretation. Build solutions for different processes and users with easy access and understanding. Model operational solutions for areas such as production, maintenance, energy, environment, water, etc.

Hierarchical data organization

It allows structuring and organizing process and asset data in a logical and understandable hierarchy. This facilitates the visualization of the relationship between different elements, such as sensors, equipment, plant areas, and others, aiding in understanding and decision-making.

Templates

The Business Modeler incorporates template functionality for elements and events, allowing efficient reuse of similar configurations. This capability significantly reduces the effort required to build models, streamlining the development and standardization of operational structures

Contextual analysis and data correlation

Business Modeler allows adding context to data by associating metadata and relationships between different assets. This enables deeper analysis by considering the relationship between variables and helps identify patterns and trends.

Analysis & optimization

The Business Modeler features a comprehensive library of logical and mathematical functions that enable advanced processing of operational conditions, facilitating precise and efficient operational calculations.

SERVICES

Elements and Attributes

Elements represent physical or logical entities of the process.

Elements represent physical or logical entities of the process. They can be created from scratch or from templates, organized hierarchically in an   element tree. Business Modeler allows creating a hierarchy that represents the structure of physical assets (equipment, devices, sensors, etc.) and processes. This hierarchy can have multiple levels, from parent elements at a higher level to details of equipment or processes at an individual level.

Attributes represent properties or characteristics of the elements and can reference historical or static data

Attributes are defined for each element, and each one is linked to a specific data reference, determining where and how historical data is stored. Attributes can contain simple, fixed information (such as the model of an asset) or descriptive information, varying in complexity.

BUSINESS MODELER

Characteristics

Limits and Locations

Expected ranges of a variable to define limits such as the minimum and maximum values it can reach, or those that can occur under certain circumstances. The location can include longitude, latitude, and altitude.

Units of measurement

It has a standardized database of measurement units that allows assigning to the variables the unit of measurement such as flow, temperature, mass, energy, power, pressure, weight, time, area.

Elemet Templates

It includes templates of elements to standardize processes and assets, using attributes, with their respective reference, data type, units of measure, and category. The templates help to create elements quickly and orderly.

SERVICES

Analysis and Calculations

Users can configure, schedule, and execute calculations

Business Modeler provides a real-time calculation engine that allows users to configure, schedule, and execute calculations. The results of these analyses can be stored in tags and generate events to notify with reports and alerts about anomalies in assets or processes. These scheduled calculations obtain input values from attributes that come from any hierarchy of elements within the tree. It includes time selection options and a preview of the analyses, helping in the confirmation and interpretation of real-time calculations.

Backfill

Allows the execution of analyses in past and future periods, automatically filling in calculation values by deleting and recalculating values.

Engine with various functions for performing real-time calculations. From production totals, hour meters, flow meters, by shift, day, month, year, to more complex logic calculations.

PIPER Events

SERVICES

Events

Collect and store data on incidents

Events in Business Modeler allow us to collect and store data on incidents or periods of processes that interest us. Events are used to contextualize incident data with additional information such as cause, start time, end time, and other associated attributes. They can represent inactivity, process deviations, environmental changes, material transfer, maintenance, safety incidents, product tracking batches, equipment start-up and shutdown, and operator shifts. It involves real-time detection of an anomaly in your data, which, when detected, is classified into predefined categories and rules.

Event Templates

Managing stoppages, reductions, and production losses of equipment and processes allows for tracking and root cause analysis of generated events. It also involves setting up real-time alerts for operators, so creating a template to streamline event configuration is a fundamental tool that can be applied to critical assets, batch processes, operator shifts, and even tests being conducted on equipment to evaluate its performance.

Business Modeler allows for analysis and study of generated events

Such as root cause analysis, duration, frequency, and any parameter that helps reveal the origin of the event. It includes visualization tools to aid in analysis and interpretation, and reporting capabilities to view recorded events in real-time. Events in Business Modeler can be filtered and found by time intervals, event type, or attribute, providing the ability to set up real-time email notifications.

Analysis & optimization

The Business Modeler features a comprehensive library of logical and mathematical functions that enable advanced processing of operational conditions, supporting efficient event management in industrial environments. These capabilities include: Event generation based on specific user-defined conditions, such as threshold breaches, persistent states, or combinations of multiple variables. Automatic classification of events by type (alarm, warning, information), severity (critical, medium, low), and duration (instantaneous, prolonged, intermittent). Contextual association of events with specific assets, operational areas, or industrial processes, allowing for precise traceability and more effective response strategies.

We manage the stoppages and starts of equipment and processes, alerting operators in real-time. Additionally, it allows for tracking and root cause analysis of events generated by each element.
