Scope of the Training Service
Part I
A pre-service training service checklist will be reviewed. Classes may be interactive for the administration course in Plant Modeler, but for those in the IT area it could be face-to-face. The virtual course will be in a pre-configured virtual learning environment hosted in the Microsoft® Azure cloud exclusively for student use during class.
Part II
We will have documentation for the courses where the courses will have a maximum of 12 students per class, so the training material will be up to date with the latest version of the PIPER Plant Modeler tools. If you would like the class to be taught with an older version of our software, you must specify this at the time of ordering so that we can prepare the appropriate course documentation and training certificates for each student.
Training Requirements
Individuals to be trained must have the following skills: Experience navigating a Microsoft Windows operating system. Some experience working with Microsoft Excel. And basic knowledge of the PIPER Plant Modeler is recommended, but not required.
If using Azure, students must be able to connect to virtual machines through a remote desktop connection (required firewall ports must be open). In case the training is virtual, a fully equipped classroom must be provided.
Times Managed for the Service
We will deliver training materials on or before the first day of the course. We suggest having the class Tuesday through Friday. This will allow the instructor to travel Monday morning and perform any necessary setup and testing prior to the scheduled training days:
At least two weeks prior to training:
Communicating prerequisites and on-site session dates with PIPER.
One week prior to training:
Reviewing collected tag information. Prepare and generate final audit report.
