Reporting Service Requirements

Each component of the PI system must be installed and functional before development begins. In addition, you must provide a configuration station with Microsoft Excel.

In case the service includes PI Vision reports, the client must enable a remote connection to a client station within the company (via software allowed by the client's organization policy).

The customer must have a document with the scope and details of the reports to be developed, this document must describe each report, including a description of how the data is to be calculated and how it is to be displayed.

he client must be available to provide access to the system during the audit (AVEVA PI System, Security, Network and Control Systems). The customer must also have a valid account on the Aveva support website with permission to download the required software. This account is also required to generate the license file for PI Data Archive.

Estimated Time of Service

Report development dates will be mutually agreed upon after formal acceptance of the service. The development process, from request to completion, normally takes 3 phases:

Phase 1

Communication of prerequisites, quick review of PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework, AVEVA PI Processbook, PI Vision and PI Datalink versions.

Phase 2

Development of applications remotely by PIPER (Time depends on the number and complexity of each application).

Phase 3

Implementation of applications and training for end users.
